Mina Louise Keeler, a sassy, free-spirited fighter with a heart of gold who loved her family with everything she had, passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Currie Comfort Home in
Reed City, Michigan.
Mina was born on June 24, 1944, to Lloyd and Clara (Johnson) Cole. On November 22, 1997, she married Donald Keeler, and together they shared a lifetime filled with love, adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Mina loved to cook and bake, always finding joy in sharing good food with those she loved. She and Donald spent time living in Colorado, where she delighted in searching for hidden gems and embracing new experiences. A true bargain hunter at heart, Mina never passed up a good garage sale, and in her younger days, especially enjoyed rides in her midnight blue Dodge Charger.
Celebrating life's special moments with family and friends brought Mina great happiness. One of her favorite memories was creating a playful contest on a long road trip to see who could count the most FedEx trucks-a perfect reflection of her fun-loving and imaginative spirit. Mina was proud of the work she did for Walmart opening and setting up stores until she retired in 1998.
Mina had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Known fondly as "everyone's favorite Aunt," she loved deeply and made sure those around her always felt it. With Mina, there was never a goodbye-only so long.
Mina is survived by her husband, Donald Keeler; daughters; Amy (Mark McElroy) Skeens, Debbie (Jeff) Holm Hansen; son, Jay (Stacy) Sampson; stepdaughter Wendy (Tracy) Graham; brother, Lyle Cole; sister Diane (Rick) Fletcher; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Alora Johnson; and sister-in-law Donna Cole.
