Frederick Daniel Dysard, a resident of Conway, South Carolina since 2015 and previously of Wappinger Falls, passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.
Born in Manhattan on June 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Frederick and Theresa (Maloney) Dysard.
After graduating from Beacon High School, Fred enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country. He went on to serve as a Firefighter for Castle Point Fire Department until his retirement in 2008, after 26 ½ years of service. In addition, he was a volunteer firefighter with the Chelsea Fire Department in Wappingers Falls. Fred had a passion for collecting coins, tools and guns.
On July 4, 2003, he married his wife Maria in New Windsor, she survives at home. Additional survivors include his son, Frederick Dysard of Scranton, PA; his son, Michael Dysard and his wife, Tammy of Flagler Beach, FL; his stepson, Wilfred Lopez and his wife, Cathy of Newburgh, NY; his stepson, Joshua Lopez of Newburgh, NY; his grandchildren, Christina Dysard of Scranton, PA, Chet Lopez of Catskill, NY, Michael Lopez of Newburgh, NY, Lizzie Lopez of Newburgh, NY, Bria Lopez of Beacon, NY and Braden Lopez of Beacon, NY; his brother, Thomas Dysard and his wife, Austine of Fishkill, NY; and his nephews, Thomas Dysard of Newburgh, NY and Luke Dysard and his wife, Becky of Glenville, NY.
Fred was predeceased by his mother, Theresa in August of 1977 and his father, Frederick in December of 2017.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 17th from 12 – 3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A service will immediately follow in the funeral at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fred's honor to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 www.cancer.org
