Frederick Greb Obituary

Rick was a graduate of Whitehall High School. He worked for over 30 years as a shop steward for Pabst Brewery in Fogelsville. After retiring from the brewery, he opened his own barbershop and ran his business for 15 years. Rick also loved trips to the shore, camping and traveling.
Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by many.
Surviving along with his wife Judy, are his daughter Donna Unger and husband John, son Scott Kunkel and wife Michelle, daughter Christine Ziegler, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Veronica Tretter and husband Robert, brother Walter Greb and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard.
His calling period will be held from 9-10am Friday May 23, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 4 S.5th Street, Coplay, PA 18037. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Friday at the church. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay is honored to handle the arrangements.

I always say that I hit the jackpot when it came to my family members, and you were just another example of that. Whether it was when you taught me to throw a knuckleball, when we watched Eagles games together, went to the flea market, or-one of my favorites-when you texted me and said, "Go Celtics," after the Celtics beat the Sixers in the playoffs. I didn´t have your number at the time, so I asked, "Who is this?" and you responded, "Larry Greb Bird." LOL.
I still sit here now, nearly five days after your passing, with a surreal-albeit unpleasant-feeling. You always embodied what it meant to be a strong person, and that´s why, deep down, this still feels so bizarre to me, even though I had come to terms with this awful reality a while ago.
It´s the memories I mentioned-and many more I´ve probably forgotten-that will help me cope with this loss as best as I possibly can. Another way I´ll endure this loss is by living every day in a way that you would have wanted. You always wanted what was best for me, so I´ll make sure you´re proud of me as you watch from above.
And to everyone else who is grieving, just remember: he is still here spiritually. Every second of every day, he is with you. You just don´t see it. So don´t act like he´s gone altogether-he still lives within each and every one of us.
I love you, Uncle...
And don´t worry-I´ll help Aunt Judy with whatever she needs, just like you would've wanted.

Judy and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. He is out of pain at last. He was a Big man with a giant heart for his wife and family. He loved to cut hair for many years and talk and make people happy and look good. Rest in peace Rick. Love, Alison
