Paul Edward Greb
June 16, 1937 - October 31, 2025
Paul Edward Greb, of Monroe, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at Hampton Manor of Dundee. Born on June 16, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Paul lived a full and joyous life, reaching the age of 88.
Paul was the cherished son of the late Paul and Mina (Traub) Greb. He grew up in Pittsburgh, where he developed a strong foundation in faith and education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh in 1961, setting the stage for a successful career.
In 1959, Paul married his beloved wife, Bonnie DiNucci, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Their union lasted sixty-six wonderful years, during which they shared countless memories and adventures. Together, they raised three daughters: Julia (Gerald) Underhill of Marshall, Michigan, Lisa (David Weindorf) Kelly of Saline, and Shel (Jeffrey Myron) Greb of Mar Vista, California. Paul was a devoted family man who took immense pride in his children and grandchildren.
Shortly after moving to Monroe, Paul began his career at Ford Motor Company. He initially worked at Ford's Monroe Plant in the accounting department, eventually transferring to the Body and Assembly Division at their Dearborn headquarters as a financial analyst. His dedication and hard work were evident over his thirty-three-year tenure, culminating in his retirement in 1995.
Paul was a man of many passions. He delighted in golfing, sailing on Lake Erie, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. His love for travel often took him to the beaches of North Carolina with his family. Known for his infectious smile, wonderful sense of humor, and kind heart, Paul was a friend to all and brought joy to everyone he met. He also found great joy in listening to oldies music and was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Rose Marie Sartoretti and Linda Taucher, and one grandson, Patrick Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; his three daughters and their spouses; one brother, Richard (Elizabeth) Greb; four grandchildren: Ryan (Theresa) Underhill, Catherine Underhill, Erin Kelly, and Asher Myron; and two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Henri Underhill.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and services celebrating his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Paul's memory are suggested to Gabby's Ladder or St. Mary Catholic Church, Monroe. Rupp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Paul will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
