Frederick K. Huttel, Jr., age 70, of Erie passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at UPMC Hamot. He was born August 8, 1954 in Erie the son of the late Frederick and Hilda (Fabian) Huttel, Sr.

A lifelong resident of Erie, Frederick had worked as a driver for Modern Industries and was a longtime member of Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department. He was also well known as a Disc Jockey by the name of “Freddy K”. An avid bowler, he served on the Board of the Northwest PA Bowlers Association. Extremely proud of his German heritage, he held various offices for DANK including being president and was very active in their annual German Festival.

Fred is survived by his wife, Beverly (Greene) Huttel; a son Christopher Huttel of Erie; a daughter Erin McClelland (Roger) of Union City, PA; and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Miraszek of Erie. He is the brother of Frank Huttel (Nancy) of York, PA and Carl Huttel (Anne) of Madrid, NY. Fred is the proud grandfather of Zakery, Collin, and Lexi McClelland, Brenden Miraszek, and Alex LaZar along with two great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc., West Ridge, 3801 W.26th St. on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm with further visiting on Monday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 4703 West Ridge Rd. from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at which time Funeral Services will be held. Burial will follow in the Church’s cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.
