Rick Krablean, 76, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Kathy’s Hospice, West Bend. He was born on October 1, 1948, in Appleton the son of Frederick Patrick and Violet Virginia (Filtz) Krablean. Rick was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda “Lin” Marie Dorschner on her favorite holiday, Valentines Day 1971, in Menasha. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2024. Together they enjoyed camping at Silver Springs Campground. Rick was employed with American Can for 45 years. He was a proud veteran, honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Rick had a great sense of humor, was always willing to help others out, and loved his wife and family deeply. 

Rick is survived by his 2 children: Tina (Todd) Bruce and Fred (Sarah) Krablean; 5 grandchildren: Katie, Maddie, Kenzie, Freddie, and Parker; sister: Koko Green; sisters- and brothers-in-law: Debbie (Pat) Janssen, Bob (Kathy) Dorschner, Gary Dorschner, and Nancy Haga ; other relatives and friends, especially all the great friends from Silver Springs Campground.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Pat (Pete) Matthews; and a sister-in-law: Diana Haga.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Vets & Friends of Wisconsin Inc.

Rick’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 7th floor Center For Advanced Care team at Froedtert, Wauwatosa, and the staff at Kathy’s Hospice in West Bend for his final care.
