Frederick B. Millett

North Hampton, NH – Frederick B. Millett, age 79, of North Hampton, formerly of Rye, passed away on Sept. 12, 2025 at the Edgewood Centre following a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Judith (Bromfield) Millett who passed away in 2008.
He was born in Portsmouth on October 26, 1945, son of the late Albert Morris Millett & Mary Elizabeth (Dorr) Millett.
On August 3, 1968, Fred married the love of his life, Judy. They shared 40 happy years of marriage in North Hampton, NH, raising their two daughters. While raising his daughters with Judy, Fred took much enjoyment taking care of his yard, always proud of how green the lawn was, comparing it to a golf course. When their daughters were all moved out and married, they enjoyed the next chapter of their life, traveling on their Harley Davidson. Traveling as far as Sturgis, along with other adventures. Fred and Judy made many wonderful friends while riding their motorcycle, but nothing could beat their long-time friendship with Kathleen Parker and Lenny Parker of Portsmouth. They enjoyed happy memories together.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Town of Rye in the DPW Highway Department for over 30 years until his retirement in 2010.
He is survived by two daughters, Marsha Casad (Michael) of North Hampton, Michele Millett of Dover; three grandchildren, Kaleigh O'Leary (Dominic), Elizabeth and Benjamin Casad; two great-grandsons, Owen and William; a brother, John Millett (Wanda) of Florida; also several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria, Stella, Al and Ronnie.
SERVICES – Relatives & Friends are invited to his Memorial Visitation on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home - Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, NH. Interment to follow at Central Cemetery, Rye, NH.
