Frederick Paul Schach, Sr., 69, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Born on May 31, 1956, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Paul and Ida (Weaver) Schach. Frederick was the devoted husband of the late Betty (Davis) Schach, with whom he shared 30 years of loving marriage before her passing.
He attended Harrisburg High School, and went on to work for many years as a die setter at New Standard Corporation. In his free time, Frederick found joy in life's simple pleasures-listening to music, cooking meals for loved ones, playing games on his phone, and most of all, spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his quiet warmth, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
He leaves behind his 1 son, Frederick Paul Schach, Jr.; his 2 daughters, Carrie Catlett and Kaitlin Smith; his 4 grandchildren, Isaiah Souders, Michael King, Jade Schach, and Carter Schach; his 2 great-grandchildren, Evangeline Souders and Issac Souders; his brother, Robert Schach; his sister, Sandra Keller; and many nieces; nephews; and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Susan Waughtel and Ida Gates.
