Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Robinson Township on Mar. 11, 2026.
Glenn Harold Schach Jr., 83, of Coal Center, PA, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on March 7, 2026. Born on December 1, 1942 in North Charleroi, PA, he is the son of the late Glenn Harold Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Snowden Schach.

Beloved wife to Maryann Schach whom he was married to for 59 years; Loving father to Heidi (Michael) Schach-Furman and Jon Glenn (Kerry) Schach; Pap to Madison, Jocelyn, and Mason Furman and Grace and Baron Schach.

Glenn will be remembered for the many passions that brought joy to his life. He loved hunting, especially bear hunting in Alaska. He also enjoyed jeep racing and flying as a private pilot. Glenn also frequented polka festivals and embraced his German heritage. You could always hear him playing his trumpet alongside his favorite songs. Glenn proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. Following his service, he was a graduate of Salem College, where he studied from 1964 to 1968. Above all, Glenn valued time spent with family and friends. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew him.

Burial with full military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on March 12, 2026 at 2pm. Everyone please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenn's honor to St. Judes Children's Hospital. All arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
