He was born on February 18, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Frederick and Margaret (Coleman) Weaver.
Although he had difficulties while growing up and throughout adulthood, he found his passion in all things automotive. Whether it be, getting an engine roaring back to life, or finding that little bit extra horsepower to shave a few seconds, while racing cars at Raceway 7 or at the Thompson Drag Strip. Fred also enjoyed taking a ride on the motorcycle, or just a peaceful trip to the lake to go fishing. However, it was family that meant most to him. He loved to do "head counts" at family gatherings, as well as calling on your birthday to sing "Happy Birthday." All moments his family will cherish.
Fred will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Darryl Lee (DeWalt) whom he married on May 11, 1968 in Springfield, Pennsylvania; his beloved children, Herb (Laura McCormack) Miller, Wanda (Brian) Tennant, Kim (Jim) Williams, Dave Carbaugh, Darryl (Ez) Weaver-Garcia, Margaret Bartfai, Ruth Ann (Walter) Robertson, and Noretta (Steve) Jenkins; and his cherished grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Miller, Ashley (Trent Galleo) Miller, Will Wolfram, Brandon Wolfram, Kaylee Tennant, James (Tasha) Williams, Gary (Josie Mason) Williams, Heather (Matt) Hathy, Mathew (Jessica Harkabus) Williams, Ez Garcia Jr., Britny Weaver, Tabetha (Travis) Hendell, Bruce Saunders, Dustin Bartfai, Tanner Bartfai, Lindsey (Allen) Matthews, Rachael (Jacob Tackett) Robertson, Daniel Robertson, Derek (Hallie) Showalter, Stephanie Showalter, Carissa (Antonio) Wright; and many many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Lou Abbey and Margie Richie; son-in-law, Dennis Bartfai; and a grandson, Kevin Wolfram.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday February 18, 2024 from 1PM-4PM at the Conneaut AERIE Eagles Lodge #408 171 Main St., Conneaut, Ohio, where memories and love will be shared.
