Fredrick Eugene "Fred" Schultz

Fredrick "Fred" Schultz Obituary Fredrick Eugene Schultz, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 72. After a life well-lived, Fred's hard-working hands are finally at rest.
He was born on July 19, 1952, in Danville, Illinois to Joanne Lucy (Gay) Schultz and Robert Glenn Schultz. Fred graduated from Danville Community School, Danville, Illinois in 1971. After high school he enlisted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps until his honorable discharge in 1975.
Fred met a lovely lady, Judy Darlene Johnson, and they were married on September 17, 1973. They raised three sons and shared the joy of becoming grandparent's multiple times during their 51 years of marriage. They made Warsaw their home and have lived here for the past 35 years. During his lifetime he worked for several businesses, for many years he worked for an RV manufacturer and later retired from Flexsteel in Warsaw in 2007. Fred always kept busy, when he found time to relax, he enjoyed many peaceful hours simply fishing.
He dearly loved his family, and his dedication to them was evident in all he did. Fred was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy Schultz (Warsaw, IN); and his three sons, Mark (Amanda) Schultz (Rochester, IN); Matthew Schultz (Warsaw, IN); and Joseph (Alaina) Schultz (Warsaw, IN). He leaves behind his twelve grandchildren, Anthony, Tru-Lea, Brennon, Autumn, Elijah, Zachary, Tyler, Cameron, Hannah, Brianna, Landon and Dominick; as well as three brothers, Robert Schultz (Warsaw, IN); Mark (Kim) Schultz (Indianapolis, IN); Todd Schultz (Danville, IL); and his sister, Tammy Coleman (Warsaw, IN). He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Tim Schultz.
Fredrick's life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Military rites will be conducted by members of the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126, both of Warsaw. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
