Mr. Fescloe Crumby Jr. of Tampa, FL, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village Church, 8722 Progress Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619, with Dr. Rickey L. Houston, Executive Pastor, Officiating/Eulogizing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Fescloe Crumby Jr. was born on July 31, 1953, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Fescloe and Doris Crumby Sr. He later moved to Tampa, FL, where he graduated from Hillsborough High School. Shortly after, he began a long and fulfilling career at Tampa Electric Company (TECO), where he served in various positions for over 30 years at the Gannon and Big Ben locations before retiring.
Fescloe was a devoted husband, father, and family man, cherished by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and countless others. Family was his highest priority, and he inspired those around him through love, kindness, sincerity, and honest guidance. He encouraged his loved ones to strive for their best, to pray, and to persevere through life's challenges. Known as the "family dad" to many, Fescloe played an integral role in all of their lives.
Affectionately nicknamed "Bone," he had a passion for seafood and enjoyed dining out. He loved antique cars, and raising dogs, and was an avid sports fan and Western movie enthusiast. Fescloe took pride in celebrating the accomplishments of his children, nieces, and nephews using their successes as motivation for others to pursue their improvements.
In loving memory, we celebrate a life that touched many hearts. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit will continue to live on in the cherished memories we hold, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared. While we mourn his absence, we find solace in the enduring legacy he leaves behind-a testament to a well-lived life. He will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with his wisdom and embracing us with the warmth of his spirit. Your light will always shine brightly in our lives. Rest in Peace, we love you.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Fescloe and Doris Crumby Sr.; sisters, Rosa Lee (Roosevelt) Pearson, Betty Simmons, and Martha Clayton; and brothers, Ike Crumby and Jimmy Lee Dozier.
Fescloe is survived by: his devoted and loving wife, Donna Crumby; children, Racquel Williams (Eric), Kenneth Crumby, Andrea Campbell, Jamarr Lewter, and Vanity Crumby; 12 granddaughters, Shantika Dykes, Niyonna Omondi, Lashawntis Campbell, Keyana Crumby, Kiara Crumby, Brianna Williams, Natasha Williams, Patience Young, Promise Young, Jaliyah Crumby, Zaniya Nesbitt, and Jamariyah Lewter; grandson, Kamari Crumby; five great-grandchildren, Emmanuel Hamilton, Reina Serrano, Zakai Omondi, Victoria Buckman, and Olivia Campbell; brother, Johnny Young Jr.; sisters, Sarah Atkinson, Janice Tolbert (Willie), Doris Thompson (Larry), Toni Jones, and Johnnie Mae Young-Baptiste; aunt, Rose Brooks (Leslie); special nieces, LaWanda Estes (Clarence) and Mioshia McCray (Demond); special great-nephew, Tyre Creary; best friend, Ralph McCullough; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
