It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gabrielle 'Gabi' Dornell Bianchi, who departed this life on May 29, 2025, at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home. Gabrielle was a devoted mother of four daughters, a proud grandmother of five, a talented pianist, and an eloquent writer with a passion for tennis. Later in life, she rekindled her love for dance with classes including the Fox Trot, Tango, Hustle, Waltz, and the Salsa which brought her great joy. Much like her mother, she took pride in her appearance, adorned herself with beautiful jewelry, and always carried herself with grace. Gabrielle was, in every sense of the word, elegant. She was born on October 24, 1943, in Weehawken, New Jersey, the beloved daughter of Edda and Henry Bianchi. Raised in Cliffside Park, she began her education at Mt. St. Mary's Academy in North Plainfield, NJ. Guided by a deep care for others, Gabrielle went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Bridgeport and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut. She dedicated much of her life to raising her daughters, who were her greatest pride and joy. Gabrielle is survived by her brother, Randall Bianchi; her daughters, Kendall Dyer, Lindsay McCurran, and Bianca McCurran; and her five beloved grandchildren. She also leaves behind her precious fur baby Martine, a nine-year-old Sheltie, as well as many dear friends and extended family who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edda and Henry Bianchi, and her daughter, Marisa McCurran, whom she missed immensely. A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to the Senior Paw Project through the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary. Though words cannot fully capture the depth of our loss, we will carry her memory with us gracefully, lovingly, and always.
