GABRIELLE LEE GRAHAM
Gabrielle, 72, died unexpectedly July 19th, 2024 at her home in Seal Cove, ME. She was born Deborah Lee Michael in Philadelphia on August 2, 1951, the daughter of John Graham Michael and Janice Peterson Michael.
Gabrielle graduated from Brown University in 1973. then graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1977. She became an Interventional Radiologist at the Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.
She moved to Seattle in 1988 and joined Radia a few years later. She was the Director of the Radia/Swedish Breast Center in Seattle for many years.
She married her husband, William Lane Allen on August 26, 2000. Gabrielle and Bill moved to Seal Cove, ME after she retired. She immersed herself in eclectic interests. She co-founded the Mt Desert Island Footloose hiking group and was also involved with the Down-East Humanists and Free-Thinkers Society, the CTWH ice-swimming group, and a French conversation group. She enjoyed crafts and art projects and took many courses at the Acadia Senior College on a wide range of topics. She was always interested in learning. She has had multiple Shih-Tzus over the years. Her latest beloved boys, Bijou and Harley, are still wondering where she is.
She is survived by her husband Bill Allen, her sisters Lindell Graham and Susan Rogers, her stepchildren Andrea Ralston, Michelle Miller, Charles James Allen, Kelly Allen, and Keith Lecky, and multiple step-grandchildren and even a great-granddaughter. "Aunty" will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Gabrielle had a huge heart. She was smart and hard-working, and she shared these gifts with everyone she met. She was fun and adventuresome. She brought Joie de vivre to many. She truly will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-6pm, Sept. 14, 2024 at the Tremont Community Center. Gifts in Gabrielle's memory may be made to Doctor's Without Borders, P. O. Box 5030, Hagerstown, MD 21741- 5030 or the S.P.C.A of Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605
