Gail Eloise Croft, 77, of Ellenboro, passed away at Caromont Regional on April 4, 2024. She was born August 21, 1946, in Gaston County, to the late Kermint Hutchins and Majorie Cunningham Hutchins.
She is preceded in death by her son, Wesley Croft; sister, Peggy Wise
Gail attended and was very active at Big Springs Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Red Cross, with the Rescue Squad, and she was a lady butterfly clown. She loved to cook for her family and for the church. Gail was a great cook. The kids said her cookies were “The best ever cookies.” She owned her own accounting office in Shelby, NC. She retired from Rauch Industries where she was an accountant.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 37 years, Alfred Jerry Croft; son, Rod Croft (Jamey Anne); daughter, Chyne Beard, Ardejah “Dee Dee” Beard; brother, Kermit Hutchins, Jr. (Debbie); sister, Vickie Sprinkle; grandchildren, Riley Croft, Ardestin Beard; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Big Springs Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Gail’s Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Scott officiating.
Inurnment will be with the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s.
