Gail Dunn Obituary
Benson, NC: Ms. Gail Blackmon Dunn, age 75 of Willow Chase Court passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Ms. Dunn was born on November 12, 1949 in Johnston County, NC to the late Marvin Theodore and Careleen Parker Blackmon. She retired after 30 years of service with South Johnston High School where she served as the front office secretary. Ms. Dunn was as member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ms. Dunn loved a good shopping trip and was an avid writer.
Surviving are her sons, Donald Dale Dunn and Heather Messer of Four Oaks, and Dewayne Cale Dunn of Benson; grandchildren, Donald Justin Dunn and wife, Kendall, Hannah G. Stancil and husband, Brandon, and Callie Faith Messer; great-granddaughter, Zadie Ann Dunn; brother, Marvin Dale Blackmon of Benson; beloved friend, Belinda Tart of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, and other times at the home of Cale Dunn.
Arrangements be Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
