Gail Anne Elliott, a devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and beloved friend, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on May 28th, 2025, in Liberty, Missouri, at the age of 71. She was born on August 25th, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Harry and Wilma Mosby. Gail was the youngest of three siblings and filled her childhood with joy, mischief and laughter.

A proud graduate of Liberty High School’s Class of 1971, Gail went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Ron Elliott, on December 28 of that same year. Their love story became the foundation of a life built on an unwavering devotion to family. With a spirit that sparkled and a heart that radiated kindness, Gail left an impression wherever she went.

She poured that same loving spirit into nearly a decade of teaching, nurturing young minds at a small childcare center. Known as “everyone’s mom,” Gail had an incredible gift for welcoming every child with open arms and treating them like they were her own. For her, caring for babies wasn’t a job, it was a calling.

She was a dedicated Girl Scout leader for her daughters, transforming day camps into magical adventures and empowering young girls to find their strength. Her devotion to youth extended to her involvement in the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. As a past Mother Advisor of Liberty Assembly #31 and recipient of the Grand Cross of Color, she continued to influence and inspire generations of young women.

Family trips, particularly camping and their many visits to Silver Dollar City, brought Gail tremendous joy. She and Ron traveled often, creating a life filled with memories and miles. Some of her most treasured moments were spent canning with her grandchildren, side by side with Ron, passing down traditions with laughter and love. A passionate gardener, Gail took immense pride in her vibrant flowers, lovingly cared for along the family’s front yard fence. She adored bird watching, especially when the hummingbirds danced by, and took delight in feeding the deer that wandered through their land.

Friends describe Gail as someone with a personality so kind and effervescent that it was simply impossible not to love her. And truly, how could you not?

Gail leaves behind her beloved husband Ron Elliott; children Chris (Amy), Becky (Matt), Lisa (Josh), Sarah (Jim); siblings Ron (Trish) Mosby, Gary (Becky) Mosby; grandkids Eva, Claire, Connor, Hailey, Laila, Emery, Joselyn, Maybelline, Addelyn, Natalie, Talia, Calvin; several cousins, nieces, nephews; furry family members Millie the dog and Hobo the cat.

A Celebration of Gail’s Life will be held at Park Lawn Northland Chapel in Liberty, Missouri. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. All who knew and loved Gail are invited to gather and share stories.

Gail’s memory will live on in every flower blooming along her fence line, in every child made to feel seen and in every heart she touched along the way.
