Gail Francine Horne-Hill, affectionately known as "Gaily" to her husband and "Nanny Gail" to her grandchildren, departed this life on Tuesday morning, September 9, 2025 at home. Gail was born on July 18, 1958 to the late Deacon James T. Sr. and Deaconess Willa Mae Murray-Bethea Horne of Trenton, New Jersey. She was the youngest of six siblings. Gail is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Huey and Rossi Horne; maternal grandparents, William Sr. and Henrietta E. Bethea; oldest brother, Victor L. Horne; two older sisters, Jeanette Horne and Lorraine Horne; uncles, Huey, Roosevelt, Isaac, and Benjamin Horne, William Jr. and Phillip Bethea, and Jeremiah James; aunts, Francis Stewart (Slim) and Hazel Jones; granddaughter, Ary'on White; and godson, Alvin Murray Jr.

Gail attended and graduated from the Trenton Public School System before studying at Mercer County Community College. She joined Galilee Baptist Church as a teenager and was an active member of the Young Adult Choir. Gail was employed by the State of New Jersey at an early age and worked her way up the ladder to become Supervising Program Support Specialist of Assistance Programs where she remained for over 42 years until her retirement in January 2025.

Gail reunited with her high school sweetheart in November of 2000 and was married on July 14, 2001. Thereafter, she transferred her church membership to be with her husband at Holy Cross Church of Christ where she became an active member serving as a Deaconess in training. Gail loved to travel and shop and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a kind and lovable person and would not hesitate to help anyone in need.

Whether she was Gail, "Gaily," or "Nanny Gail", she will surely be missed. She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband of 25 years, Frank W. Hill Jr.; brother, James T. Horne Jr. (Renee) of Trenton, NJ; sister, Cynthia Holmes (Donald) of Ewing, NJ; brother, Kenneth Hill (Catherine) of Vineland, NJ; sister-in-law, Yvonne Leonard of Bensalem, PA; daughter, Dorita White-Warren (Jaleel) of Willingboro, NJ; two sons, Frank III and Kevin Hill both of Trenton, NJ; mother-in-law, Mother Doris E.
