Barbara Gail Green Miller, known simply as Gail to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 2, 1947, to Albert and Bertie Green, Gail was the youngest of six children. She grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of her siblings: her late brothers William Green (Kathy), Frank Green (Freida), and Bobby Green; her sister Helen Bandy (Glenn); and her brother Glen Edward Green (Martha).

On April 19, 1968, Gail married the love of her life, John David Miller. Together, they built a life filled with dedication, laughter, and enduring love, eventually settling in Winn Parish. Their loving union was blessed with two daughters: Karen Miller (Johnny Vines) and Jennifer Duff (John Duff). Gail was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She took great joy in caring for her family-always placing the needs of her husband and children above her own. She was deeply involved in every part of her daughters' lives. Whether standing quietly behind the scenes or stepping up to lead, Gail was always there. From school projects (including a leaf collection that put all others to shame) to everyday encouragement, her creativity and support were constants in their lives.

She loved to garden-so much so that her flower beds often took over the yard with vibrant blooms and lush greenery. Gail could crochet, quilt and craft anything she imagined, and her hands were always busy creating something beautiful or useful. She loved music, the color blue, and watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed puzzles, ice cream, and a good cold root beer. Some of her most cherished moments were the simple ones: Tuesday night dinners with Karen and family featuring Grantadam's hamburgers, Thursday home-cooked meals shared with her sister Helen, and trips out of town with Jennifer-even if most of them were just for doctor's appointments. These were the moments that filled her life with joy. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family. She adored her grandchildren-David, Samantha, Rylee, and Logan-and her great-grandchild, Jayden. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs.

Those who knew Gail remember her for her unwavering faith, gentle strength, and enduring optimism. Her wisdom was simple but profound: Be happy, look on the bright side, and live on faith. She faced life with grace and believed that, no matter the challenge, everything would work out for the best.

Gail leaves behind not only her immediate family but also a host of extended relatives and dear friends who will continue to cherish her memory and carry forward the light she so freely shared.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverends Jack Miller and Lori Spangler officiating. Family and friends will visit at the East Winnfield Baptist Church fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service.

Her warmth, kindness, and faith will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
