Tommie Gail Norvell, a beloved caretaker, cherished mother, and doting grandmother, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on March 16, 1972, in Lubbock, she grew up in this vibrant community. Throughout her life, Gail demonstrated an unwavering kindness and gentleness even when she had very little, being a fighter in all aspects of life, fulfilling her role as a devoted advocate for both people and fostering animals which embodied a spirit of compassion. Gail harbored an enthusiasm for motorcycles and racecars, embracing thrill and adventure with a contagious energy. Her passions didn’t stop there; she cherished rock music, often indulging in her favorite Dr. Pepper and sweet treats. Gail was well-known for her vibrant personality, brightening any room she entered with her love for the color pink. Friends and family alike will remember her not only for her strength of character but also for her strong Christian faith, which served as a foundation throughout her life and provided constant guidance.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Randi Rogers and Judd Blanchard; parents, Bobbie and Victor Rotramel; siblings, Elesha Norvell, Cookie Cline Webb, Gabriel Rotramel, and Lindsay Rotramel; and grandchildren, Kreed, Kespen, Kyeden, and Gage. Tommie was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Norvell and grandmother, Helen "Nanny" Norvell.
A memorial service celebrating Gail's life will take place at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Church on the Rock South Campus. The family invites guests to wear pink in her honor, a fitting tribute to a woman who lived life brightly and lovingly, and to come in a classic car, race car, or motorcycle for a last ride in her honor.
