SAGINAW, MICHIGAN
She passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, while a resident of Avista Nursing and Rehab Center in Bridgeport Township. She was 74 years old. Gail (McDermitt) Nowaczyk was born on February 9, 1951, in Saginaw, MI to the late Roy C. and Lillian (Canfield) McDermitt. Gail was married to Gary G. Nowaczyk on March 17, 1972, in Bridgeport, Michigan. After 45 years of marriage, Gary predeceased Gail on January 6, 2017. Gail worked as a private home healthcare aide. Gail's hobbies and past-times included reading and crocheting.
Gail is survived by her brother, Russ McDermitt; nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Gail was also predeceased by one brother.
According to Gail's wishes, she was cremated and buried alongside her husband, Gary, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
Gail's memorial gathering will take place at a later date at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. Memories and sympathies of Gail may be shared with family and friends on her memorial website at WakemanFuneralHome.com
