Gail Quinney

Biddeford

Gail Quinney, 75, of Biddeford, Maine, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by friends and family after a long and courageous health battle.

Born in Saco on September 23, 1950, Gail was the beloved daughter of Patrice and Kenneth Quinney and sister of Roxanne, all of whom she now joins in heaven. She is survived by her nephew Kenny and brother-in-law Ted.

Gail attended UMaine Farmington for undergrad and received her Masters in Special Education from USM. She dedicated over 35 years of her life to teaching Special Education. From Madawaska to Berwick, she had a gift for inspiring her students through creativity, compassion, and innovation-helping each child discover their own potential.

Gail was an avid golfer and fisher, a passionate traveler, and someone who embraced every day as an adventure. She loved her community deeply, cherishing her Friday morning breakfast club and long phone conversations with friends near and far. Known for her headstrong, vibrant spirit, Gail stood firmly by her convictions and was always a fierce advocate for the underdog. Her compassion knew no bounds, and the lives she touched were many.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail's memory to two of her favorite organizations: Maine Public Broadcasting (PBS) or Biddeford City Theater.

True to her spirit, Gail wished her passing to be seen not as a time of sorrow, but as a celebration of connection. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Biddeford-Saco Country Club on November 10, 2025, from 4-7.

"How does one sum up a life in a paragraph? With Gail, there's simply no way you could."
