Franklin – Gail Thompson Stradley, 89, passed away August 13, 2025 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Mecklenburg County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Louis Britt Thompson and Evelyn Mosley Thompson. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Francis "Bobby" Stradley, and two sisters, Glenda Williams and Judith Heath. Gail was a member of the last graduating class of Courtland High School and was a local hairdresser for over 50 years in the Franklin Community with the majority of that time at The House of Neal. She was a member and Deacon at Franklin Congregational Christian Church and a member of Friends of the Library and many bridge clubs. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Fran S. Neave (Larry), Robin Stradley, and Mary Beth Dooley (Mike); two grandchildren, Dillon Taylor (Leslie) and Lucas Dooley; a great grandchild, Revel Taylor; many nieces and nephews; and all of her special friends. Gail was a bright light in this world. She never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. Gail loved to regal an audience with her outlandish stories. She was a blessing to all that knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
