Gale S. Leswing

Gale S. Leswing – 09/16/1954 – 03/07/2025 Age: 70
Born September 16, 1954, in East Orange, NJ to Mother June Silva and Father Americo Silva. Gale graduated from Keyport High School, in Keyport, NJ, in 1972 and then went on to study nursing at Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1975. In November of 1977 Gale was married to Richard W. Leswing II. Gale and Richard have 3 children together. Kristen (43), Richard (42) and Erin (40). Gale and Richard bought their first home together in Keyport, NJ, which is Gale's hometown. They lived there from 1983-2009, and at that time they watched their children grow up. Gale was an extraordinary hard worker. She was a role model for her children. She loved her family and always made sure they had what was needed. In 2009 Gale and her husband Richard decided that they wanted to move to South Jersey close to the water. They moved to Dividing Creek, NJ where they were to call home. Gale was an RN in New Jersey for 41 years before retiring in 2016. Gale and Richard have been happily married for 47 years. Gale enjoyed being in her home relaxing, reading and various types of needle work. Gale had a love for the water and being close to it, she also enjoyed going to the different shore towns to walk the boardwalk and play Skee ball or video poker. Gale would often make a gift for someone ranging from a sewn picture to a crochet blanket. Gale often said her favorite place to work was in the nursery department of the hospital, she loved working with and around the newborn babies. She also loved pretty much anything chocolate, her favorites were chocolate covered potato chips, chocolate ice cream and pretzel sticks and hot fudge Sundays with chocolate ice cream with crushed peanuts. Gale is preceded by her Father Americo Silva (1979) and her Mother June Silva (2004) and survived by her Husband, Richard W Leswing II, her 3 Children, Kristen Leswing and Husband Alan, Richard W Leswing III and Erin Makowski and Husband Steve. Also, her best friend and beloved dog Willow.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 4 PM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3PM to 4PM prior to the services. Interment will take place on Friday, March 14th at 1PM at Mt.
