Garald Howard Stockton, 86, of Meadville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on January 19, 2025, at his residence.
Born July 9, 1938, in Linesville, he was the son of Howard and Leota (Loucks) Stockton. He married Phyllis Brawley on July 9, 1959.
Garald was a 1956 graduate of Linesville High School.
For 47 years, he worked at Molded Fiberglass in Linesville and retired as a manager in 2003. He was a member of the Stone United Methodist Church in Meadville. Garald was an active 50 year member of the Pine Masonic Lodge 498 in Linesville. He was also a member of the Zem Zem Shrine in Erie as a staff director and the Scottish Rite in New Castle. For 18 years, he was a transportation driver for Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Garald enjoyed boating and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Phyllis Stockton; three children, Debbie (Walt) Knapp, Robin Stockton (Ashley Porter) and David Stockton (Cindy) all of Meadville; 12 grandchildren, Scott Lindsay, Erin (Henry) Means, Ben (Jessica) Knapp, Vinnie Knapp, Staci (Eddie) McIntire, Philip Siverd, Clayton Stockton, Meghan Stockton (Nick), James (Hannah) Chest, Jessie (Dale) Mayle, Brenden Porter and Emily Porter; 12 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Darlene Hart, Lloyd (Sue) Stockton, Donna (Tom) O’Brien, Derwin (Donna) Stockton and Delphine Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Bobby Hart; and a brother-in-law, Bob Hart.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. A Masonic Service will be held after calling at 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 24 at the funeral home with Rev. Kendra Balliet officiating.
Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Masonic Lodge 498, 101 E. Erie St., Linesville, Pa 16424 or Shriners Children’s Hospital, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, Pa 16505.
