Garnet Mae Fraley Stamper, age 77, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born August 28, 1948, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of Walter Michael and Cassie Maire Middaugh Fraley.

She was a member of Lloyd Ridge Pentecostal Church and loved going to church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, making quilts, jewelry and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie James "Bill" Stamper; four brothers, George Fraley, Harry Fraley, Milton Fraley, Fred Fraley and three sisters, Carrie Madden, Beulah Rister, Rinda Logan.

Garnet is survived by three daughters, Amber Dawn Edison of Garrison, Kentucky, Cassie (Ramon) Cornado all of Garrison, Kentucky, Cathy Stamper (Liz Cantrell) of Clearfield, Kentucky; three grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margene Witten of Garrison, Kentucky; one special sister, Loretta Fisher of Garrison, Kentucky; two special friends, Danny Dummitt and Irene Christy, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue, Garrison, Kentucky, with Brother Anthony Rister officiating. Burial will follow in the Soldier Cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p..m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and after

10 a.m. September 18, 2025, until the service hour at Globe Family Funeral Chapel.

Rick Dummitt, Brian Horsley, Everett Horsley, Ramon Coronado, Serigo Nickell and Tim Witten will serve as pallbearers.
