Garrett House Obituary
Garrett Robertson House, 61, of Conyers, GA, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by loving family members. Garrett was born on September 5, 1963, in Stafford Springs, CT. The family moved to East Longmeadow, MA in 1964 where he lived and attended East Longmeadow Schools, graduating East Longmeadow High School in 1981.
Garrett graduated with High Honors from Holyoke Community College with an Associates of Arts in Arts and Science in 1984 and an Associates of Science in Engineering in 1985. He also served as Student Senate President and was a member of Green Key Honor Society as well as receiving several awards and accolades. Garrett was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, a civilian branch of the Air Force.
In 1988 he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Biomedical from Western New England College. Garrett was also a member of Sigma Beta Tau Honor Society and the National Deans List.
Garrett worked for C. R. Bard Incorporated in Glens Falls, NY, and later moved to their corporate site in Covington, GA. As the youngest Director of Quality Assurance and Production Control for them, he troubleshot and significantly improved production facilities while traveling the USA, and the World.
After retiring at the age of 50, Garrett enjoyed being a talented water-color artist, sculptor, and music enthusiast. He also enjoyed stock research, and investment in cutting edge technology, and portfolios. He kept tabs on the Biomedical Engineering industry through his former colleagues, and brother, Morgan.
Garrett was predeceased by his parents Robert Arthur Gregg House and Joyce Louise House (nee Dwight).
Garrett will be dearly missed by; his brother Brett House and his wife Rebecca House, and son August Reader of Dunedin, FL; his sister Melissa House of Monson, MA, her daughter Allyson Goodrich, & her husband Nathan Goodrich & their sons, Forrest and Wyatt of Ware, MA; brother Morgan House, his wife Jessica, and son John and daughter Sabrina of Newfields, NH; his sister Jennifer Grimley, her husband Michael Grimley, and son Gavin Grimley, of Wilbraham, MA.
Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00 PM at Baptist Village Cemetery, corner of Hampden Rd., and Parker St., in East Longmeadow. Donations in Garretts memory may be directed to the charitable organizations listed below:
