Jacqueline F Gibson

Jacqueline F. Gagnon Gibson, 79, of Hampden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at a local nursing home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 17, 1946, in St. Agatha, Maine, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Lucein and Rose Gagnon. She grew up in a close-knit family that instilled in her a deep sense of love, faith, and resilience-values she carried throughout her life and passed on to her own family. Jacqueline loved camping, the ocean, scrapbooking, wood crafting, and a good game of bingo, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Jacqueline is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel J. Gibson of Hampden, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage. She was the proud and loving mother of two daughters: Diana Lynn Ballou and her husband Thomas, Renee Gibson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Sarah, Jessica, Derek, and Ryan-and her three great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride, Aubrey, Wyatt and Colton. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by three brothers Roger, Joe and Phil Gagnon and a sister Therese Caron. Jacqueline will be remembered for her kind heart, her gentle spirit, and the deep love she held for her family. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 4-6pm. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118. A Service will be held at 11am. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA, 01515. In memory of Jacqueline, the family kindly requests that those attending the services wear her favorite color red to honor her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with all.
