Garrett Vaughn Taylor was a beacon of light and joy, whose laughter and courage illuminated the lives of all who knew him. Born on May 4th, 1994, Garrett's journey through life was one marked by an unwavering spirit of adventure and a heart brimming with selflessness. On August 9th, 2025, he passed at home with his loving family beside him, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
Garrett's life was a tapestry woven with the vibrant threads of his passions and the people he cherished. His beloved wife, Tiffany, was his partner in every sense, sharing in his adventures. His parents, Julie (Roland) Major and Doug Taylor, instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance. His siblings, Breanna (Kyle), Christion (Dayna), and Aira (Jacob), were his comrades in both mischief and support. He is survived by his grandparents, John and Joyce Taylor, Dan and Kathy Jones, Wayne and Judy Vorhes. His nephews, Bowen and Wilder, will carry forward his playful spirit, and his loyal dogs, Cedar and especially Fynn, were his steadfast companions on every trail. Garrett was preceded in death by his grandma Linda Vorhes and niece Meadow.
Garrett's life was a testament to the power of laughter and the strength found in facing life's challenges head-on. His sense of humor was a gift that he generously shared, brightening the darkest of days. As an avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in the embrace of nature, whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply basking in the tranquility of the great outdoors. His garden was a place of growth and nurturing, mirroring the care he extended to everyone around him.
To say that Garrett was funny would be an understatement; his wit and charm came naturally. Courageous in every endeavor, he faced life's trials with a fortitude that inspired others to rise above their own fears. His selflessness was a guiding star, leading by example and always putting the needs of others before his own.
A private graveside service has been held, and a Celebration of Garretts Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Michigan Christian Youth Camp, 820 North Lake George Road, Attica, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of Garrett may be made to wheelsinmotion.org.
