Funeral services for Garrison Cole Evans (GG), 26, will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Justin Haigler.
GG was born on August 17, 1996 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Matthew Miles Evans and Toni Mundy Evans and passed away on January 1, 2023 in Shreveport.
GG was a resident of Shreveport. He graduated from Providence Classical Academy in Bossier City. He attended Evergreen where he loved to paint ceramics, loved the Dallas Cowboys and Pokémon. He enjoyed all kinds of wrestling events and loved to watch cooking shows.
GG is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald W. Evans; grandmother, Sybil Kay Evans, grandfather, Morris Odell Mundy; and Uncle Ronny Evans. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Toni Mundy Evans; dad, Matt Evans; stepmom, Dana Evans; brother, Austin Evans and wife, Liz Ann; nieces, Annalee and Adeline Evans; stepbrother, Caden Boyer; stepsister, Mia Evans; grandmother, Angie Mundy; aunt, Tammy Mundy Martin; 1st cousin, Jaycie Martin; Uncle Keith Patterson and wife, Erin; 1st cousins, Conner Smith and wife, MacKenna; 1st cousin, Chandler Patterson; 1st cousin, Trace and Joni Camp Evans; 2nd cousin, Sybil Evans; and special friends, Steve Malloy and Joe Moore.
The family would like to express special thanks to GG’s cardiologists, Dr. Paul Seib and Dr. Ray Smith; his urologist, Dr. John Mata; and his pediatrician, Dr. Bob Haynie.
Honoring GG as pallbearers will be Chris Lefebvre, Steve Malloy, John Angele, Stephen Angele, Drew Aaron and Lily Seagroves. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ty Martin, Mark Angele and Scotty Dickson.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Heart Institute.
