Garry was my coach at GBN for two years. I owe my spot in collegiate gymnastics to him. I didn´t think I could compete at that level before I met him. He was one of those people that makes you feel like you belong, matter, and provide something irreplaceable to your team. Above all, he was simply a special energy to have around. I am grateful our paths crossed and I had the honor of knowing him as a coach, roll model, and a person. I hope to be like him one day.

I was one of Garry´s Glenbrook North High School classmates and I am very sad to hear the tragic news of Garry´s passing. He was a charismatic and kind person and left this earth much too soon. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Garry´s family. I would like to offer heartfelt prayers as well. May Garry Rest in Peace in Heaven with the Lord.
