Survivors: wife of 55 years, Phyllis Simmons Atkins; two sons, Christopher Atkins and Jason Atkins; granddaughter, Gracie Nankervis; brother, Gil Atkins; nephew, Nathan Atkins.
At Gary's request, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Gary asks his friends and family to remember him as he was. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
