Troy Arlan Washam, Jr. – age 65 of Knoxville, was born June 2, 1960 to Alma and Troy Washam in Luttrell, Tennessee, passed away suddenly July 12, 2025. He was a graduate of Gibbs High School and an Air Force Veteran. Troy enjoyed being on the lake in his boat fishing, golfing and UT sports of all venues. He was of the Christian faith.
He is preceded in death by wife, Ann Washam; mother, Alma Stanifer; and father, Troy Arlan Washam, Sr. Troy is survived by sisters, Virginia Daugherty of Maryville, Anita (Dan) Moore of Hagerstown, Maryland, Marquetta Stubblefield-Slagle of Oak Ridge and Melanie (Kirk) McKenzie of Chattanooga; brother, Billy Ray Stanifer, Jr. of Knoxville; lifetime partner, Missy Koontz of Karns; special friend, Ryan Koontz of Knoxville; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that will miss him terribly; and special pet, Bear.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Paul Hughes officiating. Following the service family and friends will proceed to Dyer Cemetery for the graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Funeral Home to help cover funeral costs.
