Kenneth Dee Skeen, age 88, departed this life to be with the Lord on September 15, 2025. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church of Corryton and a former member of Union Baptist of Halls. A lifelong resident of Corryton, Ken accepted Christ as a young teen in a local tent revival. Kenneth graduated from Gibbs High School in 1956, where he was voted Most Talented his senior year. He used his gift of singing throughout his life, from solos at church to singing bass with the Chordsmen Quartet. Kenneth also served his country in the United States Army. It was after serving that he met his love, Florence Harmon from Halls. Their union was one to be admired. They were married for 63 years. He retired from Ennis Business Forms (formerly known as Southern Business Forms) after working there 41 years. Kenneth loved his family. He loved spending time with his children, Steve and Stacy, but most of all his beautiful wife, Florence, his best friend. Kenneth had a sense of humor that never went unnoticed. Even in his last days, everyone who met or cared for him simply fell in love. Kenneth never met a stranger. He will live on in many hearts forever. Preceded in death by father and mother, Ross and Louise (Collins) Skeen; brothers, Bobby Skeen, Wayne (Martha) Skeen, and Jimmy Skeen; grandparents, Floyd and Cleo (Booker) Skeen; Dee and Vena (Sharp) Collins. Survived by loving wife, Florence (Harmon) Skeen; daughter, Stacy Skeen Arrowsmith; and son, Steve Skeen and his late girlfriend, Penny Topole; sister, Sue Johnson (Doyle); brother, Tim Skeen (Judy); sisters-in-law, Shirley Skeen Gervin, Shirley Blanton, and Joyce Ridenour; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the staff at Emory Ridge Memory Care and Sacred Ground Hospice for their wonderful care. Family and friends will gather on Monday, September 22nd at 1:45 PM in Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 PM graveside service with Pastor Gary Vandergriff officiating. Full military honors will be rendered. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Skeen family.

Kenneth was a good singer...he was a good person. We enjoyed knowing him. May the good Lord watch over Florence and his children.
