R. Stuart Collins

R. Stuart Collins, age 64, of Corryton, TN, passed away at home on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was a 1978 graduate of Gibbs High School and a 1982 valedictorian graduate of the University of Tennessee where he earned his bachelor's degree. He taught Spanish for many years in various school systems in Tennessee and Kentucky. In his spare time, Stuart enjoyed any and all things to do with computers, taking care of his animals and listening to music. He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Collins and his brother, Dale Collins. Stuart is survived by his wife, Lisa Hall Collins; mother, Sonja Collins; brother, Joel (Sherrie) Collins; aunts, Minnie and Tressie; best friend, Howard Dew; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and his little dogs, Sammy and Sophie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stuart's name to the Union County Humane Society (719 Hickory Star Rd, Maynardville, TN, 37807).
