Gary Edward Barner, 69, Lock Haven, formerly of Mill Hall, passed away January 8, 2025 at his home. He was born in Lock Haven on May 20, 1955 to Ward A.Barner and the late Shirley M. Muthler Barner of Salona.
Gary was a high school graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany. He had worked at Piper Aircraft for a number of years and retired from Haven Homes. He most recently worked for Pizza City. He was a member of the Lamar Township Fire Company in his younger years and attended the Salona United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and going to grandchildren's events.
Gary is survived by his father; Ward, two daughters; Jennifer Ferrara of Lock Haven, Kirsten Barner of Newberry, and a son; Matthew Barner of Williamsport, two brothers; Terry (Esther) Barner of Salona and Barry (Carol) Barner of Mill Hall, five grandchildren; Tanner, Trevor, Aidan, Riley, and Alexander and three great grandchildren Giovani, Armani, and Amelia.
Services for Gary E. Barner will be held on Monday January 13th at the Salona United Methodist Church, 624 Long Run Road Mill Hall from 10:00-11:00am with a memorial service at 11:00am, meal to follow.
Officiating will be Pastor Rick Conklin of the Flemington First Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made directly to the funeral home to help defray cost.
