Gary Lee Bell, 79 of Radnor died Friday March 7, 2025 at his home.
He was born April 12, 1945 in Radnor to the late Darwin D. and Esther (Gast) Bell. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Danny Schultz and two brothers-in-law, Don Poland and Rocky Matlack.
Gary was a fun-loving perfectionist. He loved his family, friends and nature.
Fishing was a big part of his life from the age of 6 or 7 when he fished the creek on his family's farm. Later he went boat fishing on reservoirs, rivers and lakes.
He was married to his wife, Barb (Miley), for 59 years. Since they had no children, nieces and nephews were part of many vacations, picnics and cookouts.
Gary started his own business, Bell Boat Top & Trim, in 1983 and retired several years ago.
Gary was fiercely loyal to his family, friends and neighbors.
Surviving is his wife, Barb Bell of Radnor
Sister, Judy (Glenn) Schultz of Richwood and their children, Penny (Brad) Cunningham and Tammy (Jeremy) Hayward and their families.
Mother-in-law, Ruth Miley of Delaware
In-laws, Pam (Alan) Gruber of Delaware, Bruce (Bev) Miley of Delaware, Connie (Ron) Phillips of Marion, Teri (Jerry) Lewis of Delaware, Jeri Poland of Delaware, Carol Matlack of Delaware and Dean (Cindi Protheroe) Miley of Delaware
Many nieces and nephews and extended family
Funeral services will be held Friday March 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Fulton Creek Friends Church. Pastor Jacob Hayward will officiate. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at the church.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 OH-37, Delaware, Ohio 43015
