Gary Frank Billmeier, 76, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. A beloved and devoted husband to his wife of 52 years, Diane Billmeier, Gary was a cherished father and grandfather whose infectious smile and natural ability to connect with others brought joy to everyone around him. His genuine warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Gary's greatest joy was his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who were his source of immense pride and happiness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived by his wife, Diane; his son, Justin Billmeier, and his wife, Jessica, and their children, Zoe and Zac; his son, Adam Billmeier, and his wife, Julie, and their children, Rebekah, Jacob, Thomas, and Elizabeth; and his daughter, Tiffany (Billmeier) Kindratt, and her husband, Tony, and their children, Cameron and Maxwell. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Billmeier, and his wife, Sue, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Aaron Billmeier; his parents, Albert and Loretta Billmeier; his brother, Rob Billmeier; and his sister, Becky (Billmeier) Lingl.
A rosary for Gary will be recited at 10:15 a.m., followed by a live-streamed funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20 at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, TX 76034. After the Mass, Gary's urn will be placed in the columbarium of Good Shepherd Catholic Community, with military honors outside the main church.
A reception will follow in the church's Bethany Hall.
