Gary Alan Bolander, 72, of Pendleton, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at his residence in Pendleton, following an extended illness.
He was born June 21, 1952, in Anderson, Indiana to Charles P. and Naomi (Cash) Bolander.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Alan Bolander, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Gary attended Pendleton Heights High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He enjoyed farming and loved to fix anything.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Desiree (Murphy) Bolander; children, Chris (Kelly) Roach, Shawn Murphy, Stacy (Jason) Bolander and Stephanie (Chad) Whistler; grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, Conner, Kelsey, Brooke, and Laken; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Sawyer; brothers, Mike (Cheryl) Bolander, Mark (Dana) Bolander, Jeff (LuAnn) Bolander, and Douglas Bolander; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Bozell Funeral Homes, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064, with the Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pendleton American Legion Post #117, 611 West State Street, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice Staff for their loving care of Gary.
