Gary "Boo" Allen Adams, age 79, of Ashby, Minnesota, passed away on November 21, 2024, in Elbow Lake. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm., on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home Chapel in Fergus Falls, with a visitation taking place one hour prior to the service.
Born on March 19, 1945, in Walla Walla, Washington, Gary was the son of Robert S. and Helen Teresa (Rude) Adams. He grew up in Dalton and later married Vikki L. Ohren on January 15, 1972, with whom he built a loving family in Ashby. Gary dedicated many years of his life to working at H&R Construction in Dalton until his retirement.
Gary had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting, and he relished in the thrill of sports. A true baseball enthusiast, Gary also enjoyed golfing and ski jumping, even taking on umpiring duties after his playing days ended. He cherished the moments spent with his family, traveling together and watching Vikings and Twins games, creating lasting memories.
Respected and remembered for his strong work ethic, Gary's legacy will continue through his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Darla Adams, brother-in-law Roger Herness, and sisters-in-law Shirley Herness and Bonnie Ohren.
Gary is survived by his wife, Vikki (Ohren) Adams; two sons, Jarrod (Trisha) Adams of Fergus Falls and Aaron (Sina) Adams of Fargo; and five grandchildren, Bryce, Elyse, Olivia, Grace, and James Adams. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (EJ) Mesa, and his brother, Merlin (Vickie) Adams.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
