Gary Dean Bradley of Memphis, TN, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on September 17, 1941, in Arrington, Kansas, Gary lived a life full of purpose and joy, with a deep-seated love for his family.
Gary proudly served his country in the Navy, a testament to his strong character and unwavering commitment to those around him. Throughout his life, he developed a passion for various hobbies, including camping, fishing, working on his cars, and playing the guitar in his younger years. He also found great satisfaction in collecting tools, a reflection of his resourceful nature.
Above all, Gary lived for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He considered his proudest accomplishment to be witnessing his grandchildren grow up and having the opportunity to meet his great-grandchildren, which brought him immeasurable joy. He cherished each moment spent with his family, creating fond memories that will last a lifetime.
Gary's memory will be honored during a visitation on February 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Bradley; his daughter, Valerie (David) Flynn; his brother, George Bradley; and his cherished grandchildren: Madyson (Drew) Lay, Jonathan (Toni) Devereaux, Shannon (Stefan) Eiermann, Ryan (Lara) Devereaux, Brittany (Zach) Hammond, Renee (Nick) Jones, and Taylor Flynn. Gary also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Kyle, Logan, Daniel, Savannah, Landon, Ella, and Addison, who brightened his life immeasurably.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, George Lee Bradley and Carolina Jewel Long; his sisters, Terri Heitman, Bobbi Dietdrich, and Nancy Davis; his brother, Wayne Bradley; and his daughter, Julia Purl.
Gary Bradley's legacy will endure through the love he shared with his family and friends, and his kind spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
