Gary Brooks Obituary

Gary proudly served his country for nine years in the United States Navy before beginning his career as an over-the-road truck driver in 1992.
Gary was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and caring for his cows, each one given a name and treated like family pets. He was the family jokester, always ready with a laugh and lovingly calling everyone a "knucklehead." He was a devoted family man and a proud Papa who loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren. Gary was a man of faith and a longtime member of Star Community Church.Top of Form
On May 21, 1991 he married Debbie Poole Brooks. She survives of the home. Also surviving are four children: Austin (Ashley) Brooks of Neelyville, MO, Brittany (Fred) Brooks and Brandi (Cody) Holloway of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Stephanie Teague of Fisk, MO; eight grandchildren: Kimber, Mia, Aaliyah, Easton, Brooklyn, Brett, Ashley, and Cody; one great granddaughter: Hannah; and one sister: Belinda (Monty) Jameson of Ellsinore, MO.
In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by one brother: Robert Brooks.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2025 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Neal Chilton and Bro. Gaylon Butler officiating. Condolences: www.whitesandersfuneralhome.com
