Gary Dalton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Chapel Inc on Jan. 2, 2026.
Gary Wayne Dalton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on July 24, 1969, in Butler County, KY, Gary's life was a testament to the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary M. Dalton, and his paternal grandparents, Earl and Wilma McKinney, as well as his maternal grandparents, William and Lilly Gulden. His legacy continues through his beloved family, including his wife of 29 years, Sharon Bowling Dalton, and children, Nina (Billy), M (Tony), Kevin (Mindy), and Jason. His mother, Beverly Gulden Dalton, his brother, Chad (Renee), and his sister, Debbie (Terry), will hold dear the memories they shared. Gary's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Tyler (Hannah), Hub Bub, Kiersten, Jesse, Romie Dome, Maddie Mae, Kacey, Abel, and Andrew, and his great-granddaughter, Phoebe. His extended family, including sister-in-laws Patricia, Sandra, and Rita; brother-in-law Earl; and father-in-law Earl Sr..
Gary dedicated many years of service to HCSG Morgantown Care & Rehab. In his younger days, Gary was known for the thrill he found in racing his car, number 11, at Beach Bend Raceway. The excitement of figure 8 racing and the automotive adventures on Vice Grip Garage were among his favorite pastimes. Above all, Gary's love for his family was paramount, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
