Gary Anthony Daniel M.D.

Memorial services for Dr. Gary Daniel, MD, of Macon, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10 AM at the Old West Laurens (OWL) High School, 338 W Laurens School Road in Dublin. Reverend Dr. Willie L. Edmond will officiate.
Gary Daniel was born on Sunday, March 5, 1972, in Farmington Hills, Michigan, to the late Louise and Jerry Daniel. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from West Laurens High School, Georgia College in Milledgeville, and Mercer University School of Medicine.
His passion for becoming a doctor was discovered at the age of five when he said he wanted to help make his mom, who was sick, well. He began his Internal Medicine practice in Moultrie, Georgia, and expanded his training in cardiology at Ochsner Heart and Vascular in New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as William Beaumont in Royal Oak, Michigan, which opened the door for him to begin his new endeavor at Heart of Georgia Cardiology in Macon. This amazing opportunity of building a strong foundation of cardiology skills led to Dr. Daniel starting his private practice, Georgia Cardiology Associates. He practiced medicine with the highest standards, which transcended cardiology practice in all of middle Georgia, was an advocate for heart health in his hometown community and middle Georgia and was highly respected for his expertise and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others. Dr. Daniel leaves a legacy that will continue to inspire current and future generations of medical professionals. Outside of medicine, he was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He displayed compassion and generosity towards everyone he met. His spirit of humble service towards his family, friends, and community will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Dr. Daniel passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Jerry Daniel, and beloved niece, Venezuela Alexis Coleman.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Alejandra Daniel of Macon, two daughters, Lauryn and Morgan Daniel of Macon, four sisters, Tina Watkins of Macon, Pamela Daniel of Rentz, Angel (Dexter) McSwain of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Thesalonica Jones of Dublin, two brothers, Dr. Jerry B. Daniel, Esq. of Rentz and Terry (Amanda) Daniel of Perry, mother-in-law & father-in-law, Dora Villalobos & Jose Flores of Troy, Michigan, two sisters-in-law, Astrid Sotelo & Ann Beverly Sotelo of Troy, Michigan, and a host of special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted Georgia Cardiology Associates partners, colleagues & friends, Dr. Daniel Haithcock, Dr. Christopher Jenkins, Dr. Juan Esnard, and Dr. Thomas Terry, as well as his staff.
