Gary L Daniels

Gary L. Daniels of Eastampton passed away on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at his home. He was 66.
Born at Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of James and the late Mary "Zena" Daniels, Gary grew up in Mount Holly and was a graduate of Rancocas Valley High School. He served his country in the US Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, he served as a Police Officer in Burlington City and a Detective with the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office. Gary earned his law degree and became a Prosecutor in Burlington County. He was also the Public Safety Director for the Burlington County Bridge Commission & taught Criminal Justice at Burlington County College.
For some time, Gary was involved in local politics and served as the Sheriff of Burlington County for 2 terms. Since 2005, Gary practiced law at his office on High Street in Mount Holly.
Burlington County, specifically Mount Holly, has suffered a huge loss with his passing. He was known & loved by a multitude of people. It was a reciprocal friendship in that Gary always had time to stop & say hello to one & all. He will be terribly missed. He will be remembered always.
Above all, Gary was devoted to his family: his two sons and their families. He loved playing with his grandchildren, Reed (3) who called him "Grandpa Gator" and Nova (2) who called him "Pop Pop." He had a special place in his heart for the light in their eyes and the laughter they shared together. Gary's hours away from his law practice were few. Aside from his family, he enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle on sunny days and spending summer hours going for rides on his boat along the Delaware River. He had a phenomenal sense of humor. His jokes, stories and the renditions of his experiences provided amazingly funny moments with him. That, combined with his sincere regard for his fellow man, whether in need of a helping hand or a few dollars, as well as his many other hallmark qualities, made Gary the person he was. It also makes it easy to understand how much he will be missed. A true inspiration and an all-around great guy. You will be loved forever.
Gary is survived by two sons; Trevor Daniels & his wife Rebeca of Westampton and Evan Daniels & his wife Esther of Eastampton; two grandchildren: Reed and Nova; his father James; his former wife and friend Tina Cirillo; and three sisters: Maria Pijuan, Barbara Rouzan, and Michelle Daniels; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends & colleagues.
Relatives & Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Rose Garden Tent at the Smithville Mansion on Tuesday, December 13th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Remembrances will be shared at 2pm.
