Gary Davis, 76 of Guy, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Thursday the 13th of November 2025. He was born September 28th, 1949, in Shreveport, LA, to the late parents Sam and Wynonah (Valentine) Davis.
Gary was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Baptist church in Guy, AR.
Left, to cherish his memory are his loving family: his wife of 51 years, Kay Davis, his sons, Shawn (and wife Whitney) of Jacksonville, AR, and Eric Davis of Centerton, AR; his two grandchildren, Lily and Gabrielle Davis; and his brother, Wesley Davis.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2025, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
A second visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, also at Lewis. Internment at Silver Hill Methodist Cemetery in Mt Holly, Arkansas following the funeral.
Gary loved God, his family, drag racing, and his life's work as an independent oil producer. He served terms as president of the Oil Producers of Arkansas, board member of Arkansas Oil & Gas Museum, contributed to Arkansas oil and gas documentaries and worked with Don Hodel (former US secretary of energy) on energy policy where he helped give a voice to energy producers across the state. Over the years, he owned, operated, and partnered in multiple businesses within the oil industry.
His favorite pastime, drag racing, was a constant thread throughout his life, one that brought him immense joy and lifelong friendships with those who shared his passion.
Gary deeply loved his family and friends, and he made it a point to check on each of them regularly to make sure they were happy, healthy, and knew he was always there for them.
