Gary Wayne Deitz, 52, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

Gary was born on November 18, 1972, to the late Leonard and Ruth Deitz in Kentucky.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Deitz; two sisters, Kathy Caudill and Joan Sterling; and brother, Randell Deitz.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Mitchell Deitz and Tyler McDonald; three brothers, Dale Deitz, Troy Deitz, and Ronald Deitz; four sisters, Sandy Deitz, Pamela Deitz, Karen Mullins, and Kimberly Deitz; three grandchildren, Alexis Tabor, Hadleigh Grace McDonald, and Bentley Wayne McDonald.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

Gary Wayne Deitz and his family are in the care of Pennington Gap Funeral Home.
