Gary Paul Foltz, 59, of Creston, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after an extended illness.
Gary was born in Wooster on Oct. 1, 1963 to Russell P. and Phyllis A. (Manson) Foltz and attended school in Rittman until moving to Wooster where he graduated from Wooster High School in 1982. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 – 1987 and on Nov. 30, 1996 married Michelle Moore who survives. He worked at The Wooster Brush for the past 34 years where he enjoyed making people laugh and was always bragging about his daughter. Gary was a member of the Seville Masonic Lodge, had coached youth soccer for several years and enjoyed woodworking and collecting and assembling model cars.
Surviving is his wife, Michelle of 26 years; his daughter Maya who was his pride and joy; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Rebecca Foltz of Plainfield, IN; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jim Fisher of Columbia, SC; nephews, Russell Carter, Jeffrey Fisher and John and his wife, Jennifer Fisher; twin great-niece and great-nephew, Eleanor and Theodore Fisher and his mother-in-law, Barbara (Long) Moore of Creston.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Robin Carter and his father-in-law, Tim Moore.
Friends may call Saturday, Dec. 17th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Rev. Walter Clark will conduct services at 4:00 p.m. Gary will be interned at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Veterans Services in the donor's area.
