Carol Pamer Obituary

Carol Suzanne (Schlauch) Pamer, 83, of Seville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025.

Born on June 14, 1942-Flag Day-a date she loved, reflecting her deep patriotism. She was born in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Eileen (Harter) Schlauch.
On June 16, 1962, Carol married Edward Pamer Sr., and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and community in and around Seville. Carol and Ed were well known in the community for owning and operating several local businesses, including Seville Paint Center, Heritage Way Restaurant, Seville Pizza Shop, Peddler on the Square, and Still Meadow Farm. Through every venture, Carol lived by her mottos: "Never give up" and "Always pray." She was an active member of Canaan Lutheran Church, sharing her love of the Lord and drawing strength from her faith.
More than 40 years ago, driven by her love of history and community, Carol, Ed, and a small group of Seville residents founded the Seville Historical Society-a place she held close to her heart and devoted herself to preserving for generations to come.
Carol and Ed also shared a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. At Still Meadow Farm, they welcomed community groups, school visits, and family celebrations. Carol's creativity and care were evident everywhere-from her beautifully decorated gardens and elaborate seasonal displays to the animals she adored, including miniature ponies and goats, her peacocks Duke and Duchess, and her "special" chickens, Peepers and Tilda. Carol had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. She loved bringing people together and filled her home with laughter, warmth, and traditions. She delighted in family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and tracing her family history, proudly preserving heirlooms and antiques that told the story of generations before her.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Edward Pamer Sr.; her brother, Wayne Schlauch; and her parents, Elmer and Eileen Schlauch.
She is survived by her children, Christy (Jim) Simo, Tammy (Andy) Parks, and Edward Jr. (Melissa) Pamer; grandchildren Jessica (Jaime) Hudgins, Nicholas (Brittany) Parks, Emma Pamer, and Sophie (Maven Reid) Pamer; and great-grandson Alexander Parks. She also leaves behind her siblings Clifford Schlauch, Bruce Schlauch, Kathy (Terry) Leedy, Robin Baxter; sister-in-law Carol Schlauch; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Diane Pamer, sister-in-law Helen Agnone; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare and Danbury Senior Living, both of Wooster, for the compassionate care, support, and comfort provided to Carol and the family during her final days.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carol's life on Friday, October 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at Canaan Lutheran Church, 10851 Friendsville Rd., Creston, OH 44217. Friends may call on Thursday, October 9th, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Medina County SPCA, 8790 Guilford Rd., Seville, OH 44273, or to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
Carol will be remembered for her faith, her boundless love for family, and her simple yet profound outlook on life-often expressed in her favorite words: "I just love people!" and "Say a prayer."
