Sally Ann Dearth, age 74, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Sprenger Health Care Smithville Western in Wooster following a long illness.
She was born on December 4, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Jean (Roach- Cook) Arnold and June Sandlin.
Sally spent many years of her childhood with her foster grandparents, Harry and Miriam Cook who she called "mom and dad".
She was a graduate of Wooster High School and Adult Education at the Smithville Career Center.
On October 20, 1973, she married Robert Neil Dearth at Wooster First Church of God.
She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and lived in the Holmes and Wayne County area for many years.
She is survived by her children, Michael "Mike" Dearth of Wooster, Ohio, Paula (Nathan) Bird of Keosauqua, Iowa and Krista Dearth of Shreve, Ohio; grandchildren, Jaidyn Dearth, Logan Dearth, Kiera Bird, Kaela Bird; sisters, Dorothy (Lynn) Yoder of Orrville, Ohio, Tina (Jeff) Snure of Smithville, Ohio, sister-in -law Judith Rockwell of New Lexington, Ohio, sister-in-law Kay Dearth of Beverly, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, grandparents, mother, stepfather Robert Arnold, nephew Christopher Arnold, brother Robert Phillip Arnold, brother-in- law Norman Rockwell, and brother-in-law Ronald Dearth.
Sally was a stay home mom for many years, a cub scout leader, girl scout leader, and held various other occupations throughout the years.
Her hobbies included camping, reading and collecting owls but mostly loved spending time with her family and friends.
Cremation has taken place as per her wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, 10:00 am at New Pointe Community Church in Wooster with Pastor Johnathan Wood officiating.
A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church for family and friends.
Burial for Inurnment will be private for family members.

Friends, we are sorry to read of your mother's passing. Sally was always a sweet lady. When you left the Big Prairie area we lost track of you all. Still it brought back memories of when you were all kids. Sending you prayers for peace and healing.
